The Upper Room exists as a Christ-centered sober living refuge for single women, pregnant mothers, and mothers with children who are experiencing homelessness, battling addictions, domestic violence, and exploitation.

In June 2024, Shannon's Hope and Gabby expanded into Council Bluffs with the addition of The Upper Room, continuing the mission of serving women in crisis.
We are located in Council Bluffs, Iowa but service all of Pottawattamie County and the Omaha Metro Area. Many people from surrounding areas drive for our services each week from Carter Lake, IA, Crescent, IA, Honey Creek, IA, Neola, IA, Carson, IA, Macedonia, IA, Mineola, IA, Missouri Valley, IA, Glenwood, IA, Tabor, IA, Silver City, IA, Pacific Junction, IA, Emerson, IA, Treynor, IA Oakland, IA.
